James T. Spears, 52, of Terre Haute passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026 in Union Hospital. He was born October 10, 1973 in Shelbyville, Indiana to James and Ruby (Jessie) Spears. James was an electrician and 14 year member of the I.B.E.W Local #725. He loved the San Francisco 49ers and the Cincinnati Reds. JT enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, doing the things he loved. Especially doing puzzles with Regan and Sunday nights with Skyler and Isaac usually watching American Idol. He enjoyed listening to music and going to concerts, and was a huge fan of WWE. And one of James' greatest passions was being a Foster Dad. He leaves behind his daughters, Skyler Spears-Hale (Isaac) and Regan Spears; sister, Brenda Wilson (Mike); nieces, Wendy Wiegand and Deidra Reed; nephew, Michael Wilson and several great-nieces and great-nephews. James was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Patty Spears-York. Visitation will be Sunday February 1, 2026 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services starting at 2:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Dan Gisel officiating.
