James Francis Staud

James F. Staud died at his home in Kent on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at the age of 83. He was born in Elkins, West Virginia to the late John and Virginia (Yost) Staud, December 24, 1939.
He graduated from St. Mary's High School in Akron. Jim earned his Bachelors and Masters degrees from Kent State University. In 1960 he started teaching, driving school bus and coaching at St. Patrick's School in Kent. Later taught at Silver Lake School, then went to the Hudson, Ohio school system. He retired from there after 35 years. His position at that time was assistant superintendent.
Jim is survived by his loving wife Judith of 52 years; brother, Joe and sister-in-law, Marty and their loving family in Georgia; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John; and sister, Maryann.
Jim wanted to send his gratitude to all the people who filled his life and requested that no final services be held. Cremation has already taken place. Thanks to the staff of Hospice of the Western Reserve.
