Jim, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, veteran and friend, passed away on September 1, 2025, at the age of 77.

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Jim's heart was always full of love for his family and friends. A proud veteran of the United States Army, he served his country with honor. He had a successful career in banking. As a lifelong and devoted baseball coach, he shared his love for the game with countless friends, players, and family. He touched the lives of everyone he met, leaving a lasting impression of kindness, joy, and love.

Jim will be deeply missed by his wife, Debbie, his children, Jeffrey Steigerwald (Anne), Jared Steigerwald (Rachel) Janelle Reck (Jeremy); his grandchildren, Mya, Camden, Ava, Kenzie, Crosby, Carter, Leland and Sylvie; Brother, Dennis Steigerwald (Janet), Sister, Kathleen Maurer, nieces, nephews and friends who were blessed to know him.

Of all his roles, "Pappy", was the one he treasured most. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them. He never missed a chance to attend a game, performance, or special moment.

His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him.

Friends will be received on Wednesday 4-8PM and Thursday 2-8PM at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 806 Perry Hwy., Pgh, PA 15229. Funeral Services will be on Friday 11AM at North Hills Church of Christ, 797 Thompson Run Rd., Pgh, PA 15237. Everyone please meet at church.
