On April 29, 2025, with family by his side, James Allen Stilp – father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend – left this earth and was reunited with his wife in the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jim is survived by his 6 children, 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and his brother Gerald.
Dad was born in Neenah, Wisconsin on July 24, 1931. At the age of 19, he joined the US Navy and served from 1951 to 1954. Upon his return from service, he married the love of his life Celine (Caron) on October 29, 1955, who joined the Lord in heaven in May of 2022. During their wonderful 66 years together, they raised six children: John (Julie), Tim (Cindy), Stacie, Vicky Mueller (Mike), Sue, and Peter (Kim).
Dad spent more than 40 years working for Kimberly Clark Corporation. His work ethic, intelligence, and outstanding people skills helped him go from loading boxcars to serving in multiple Director roles for the company's corporate Research and Development division. During that time, Dad never wavered in his commitment to his family. During a high-level management meeting, the attendees were asked to introduce themselves and share the achievement they were most proud of. The meeting's leader was expecting to hear how everyone contributed to the company's success, but when it was Dad's turn, he said his greatest achievement was his six children.
Our home was filled with so much love; it's hard to imagine that anyone could have had a better childhood than us. Dad and Mom were such wonderful role models of kindness, patience, and generosity.
Dad had a love of the outdoors that he passed on to us, and memories of hunting, boating, and camping trips to Boot Lake will last forever.
Dad was a true servant leader with the most tender heart. It is a blessing to see that his children and grandchildren have inherited his kind and loving heart. What an honor to have been raised, nurtured, led, and loved by this amazing man.
We would like to thank St. Paul Hospice Care and his nurse Dariya for their excellent care of Dad. A special thanks to Dad's daughters, Vicky and Sue, and granddaughters, Hanna and Amie, for their sacrificial love and amazing care that allowed Dad to spend his final days in his own home.
There will be a celebration of Dad at 11:00am on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Kessler Fahrenkrug Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial Street, Neenah, WI 54956. Visitation will be held from 9:30am until the time of the service. Military Honors will be conducted by the Neenah-Menasha Funeral Honors Team following the service.
One day, we will all be reunited - our joy will be complete and we will experience the peace that passes all understanding. Until then
With exceeding love,
Your Family
