James Strevel Obituary
Jim worked as an echo tech at UT Medical Center, where his coworkers became like family and he took great pride in caring for others. He had a way of lightening the mood no matter the situation. His kindness, laughter, and generous heart will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by everyone lucky enough to know him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Erwin Keller Strevel and Jesse Lee Loveday Strevel.
Left to carry his memory forward are his sisters, Kathy Dwelley and Vickie (Ron) Strevel-Manger; his nephews, Josh (Ashlee) Crawford, Luke Dwelley, JT Crawford, and Johnathan Cox; his nieces, Jessie (Austin) Hendrick, Kelly (Sean) Cousins, Jo Haun, and Turk Haun; along with his UT Medical Center family and many dear friends.
Services will be held at Holly Gamble Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 2:00-4:00 PM with funeral service to follow.
