James Dale Stripling, age 67, of
Trussville, AL, died at 11:00PM October 21, 2025.
Dale was at Heather's house, where he was currently living until he could build a house on purchased property in
Trussville, AL.

Dale grew up in
Trussville, AL, attending Hewitt Trussville Schools where he played football and graduated in 1976. He continued to play football at Jacksonville State University from 1976-78. He married Becke in 1977 and they were blessed with two children, Heath James Stripling and Heather Ruth Stripling.
Dale worked in the gasoline transport business for 15 years, then worked for public education where he taught English Language Arts, coached (Huffman High School, Hewitt Trussville High School), moved to serve as an Assistant and Principal (Hewitt Trussville Middle School, Pelham High School, Hewitt Trussville High School, Moody High School). He served as a Hearing and Attendance Officer at Jefferson County Schools. In his last years, he served as a Safe School Specialist for ALSDE (Alabama State Department of Education) where he trained administrators and school staff all over the state of Alabama in school safety preparedness. Dale served on the Board for TAASRO (The Alabama Association of School Resource Officers) for over 20 years. Dale believed in education. He personally showed this by teaching and continuing his own education throughout his career, earning his Doctorate of Education in 2019.
Dale believed in God and in the two greatest commandments: love God and love people. He practiced this by being fully involved in church work throughout his life. He supported youth groups, taught classes, led singing, and served as deacon and elder. This was his first love. Dale loved Maywood Christian Camp. He served on the board of Maywood Christian Camp and was Assistant, then Director, of one week in July for the past 38 years. Dale also served on the board of Jefferson Christian Academy for the past 10 years, demonstrating his love for Christ and education. Dale believed in family. He showed his love every day. Dale is survived in death by his wife of 48 years, Becke Stripling; his children, Heath Stripling (wife Tiffany, children Lexi and Jace); his daughter, Heather Stripling; by his father, James Stripling; sister, Judy Stripling; brother, Dennis Stripling (wife Andrea, sons Spencer, Parker, Conner); nephew, Josh Jennings (wife Stefanie, sons Judsen and Cooper); in-laws, the Thomas, Rachal, and Hinely family.
Dale is preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Stripling; mother-in-law, Sue Thomas; nephew, Jake Jennings; brother-in-law, Terry Jennings; sister-in-law, Vycki Hinely.
