James passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 77. The son of the late Robert and Eleanor (Roe) Stuart was born December 29, 1947 in Flint, Michigan. James retired from General Motors in 1993 and loved watching the Detroit Tigers, Lions and Red Wings. James also enjoyed playing with his cats and eating cheesy popcorn.
James is survived by his children, James (Debra) Stuart Jr., Jennifer (Todd) Herron, Tammy (Chris) McQueen-Dooley, Tracy Murany and Wendy Anton; grandchildren, Jimmy Stuart III, Rachelle Detman, Tyla Stuart, Nathan Herron, Kyle Herron, Kaci Lang, Marlene Farlin, Kyrsti Farlin and Nicole Dawson; great grandchildren, Paiton Mater, Jaxsin Mater, Hunter James McQueen and Nevaeh Herron and two sisters, Karen (Terry) Scott and Kathleen Burleson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Sally Stuart; brother, Michael Stuart; son, Michael Stuart; niece, Michelle Gaiser and his grandson, Ryan Murany.
At the request of James, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the wishes of the family.
