The family of James Patrick Sullivan is saddened to announce his passing on November 16, 2025 at the age of 73 in Mansfield, TX. He passed at his home surrounded by love with all of his family and his dog Spike. Jim was born to James Edward Sullivan and Lois Ann Sullivan on June 29, 1952 in Syracuse, NY. He is preceded in death by his wife, Espiridiona Z. Sullivan; his son, Michael James Sullivan; his grandson, Brice Allen Ward; and his parents, James Edward Sullivan and Lois Ann Sullivan. He is survived by his son, Raymond Lee Mata and his wife Jean Ann Mata; his daughter, Connie Ann Ward and her husband Roger Allen Ward Sr.; his daughter, Beth Cooper and her husband Shane Cooper; and eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one brother, five sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In 1970, Jim moved to the State of Texas where he eventually met the love of his life, started a family, and began an accomplished and rewarding career in the Event Services Industry - traveling the country showcasing products, services and innovations.
Jim was fiercely passionate about his family and was the kind of man others sought for guidance and comfort. Words like patient, empathic, and quick-witted help describe how Jim moved through this life. His children and grandchildren knew that his love was unconditional and always profoundly present; his words were always comforting, wise and intentional.
A proud Irishman, Jim loved watching sports (especially the Mavericks), sharing his love of music with anyone who was around to listen, and traveling with his wife. Jim lived an extraordinary life that words cannot begin to convey. He will be dearly missed every single day, but we are comforted knowing that he is now with his wife and son.
