James Earl Taylor

James Earl Taylor, of Rockford departed this earthly life December 11, 2025. He was born September 17, 1959 in Bolivar, TN the son of Austin and Lizzie Taylor. James lived in Rockford most of his life coming from Bolivar. He married the former Brenda Hanserd, October 6, 1988. James was the owner and operator of Taylor Automotive over 40 years. He attended West High School, later to receive his G.E.D. and later to received his automotive certification.

James leaves to cherish many loving memories, his wife Brenda; daughter, Latia (Antonio) Turner; two sons, James Taylor and Jawuan Taylor; three grandchildren, Timberlyn; Jazayah and Treylan; godson, Amaury; three sisters, Florence (Otis) Scott, Evette and Mary Taylor; four brothers Milton "Leon" Taylor, Austin "Jr.", Bill and Charles Taylor; a host of nieces, nephews cousins other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; and three brothers, Lorenzo, Eddie and Otis Taylor.

Services will be held 12:00 noon Monday, December 22, 2025 at St. Paul Church of God in Christ 1001 Bishop Washington Ave. Burial in Cedar Bluff Cemetery. Visitation 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
