James Maron Thompson Jr., 70, retired butcher for Super Rama Foods, and resident of Hampshire, died Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
The family will visit with friends Sunday, June 9, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.
Born May 28, 1954 in Oklahoma, he was the son of the late James Maron Thompson Sr. and the late Jean Elizabeth Joyner. Mr. Thompson enjoyed fishing, cooking, and was an avid NASCAR Fan, Mark Martin being his favorite racer. He was extremely out going and never meet a stranger. Everyone who met him, loved him.
He is survived by his sons, James Maron Thompson III and Jonathan Michael Thompson; grandchildren, Forever Thompson, Farrah Thompson, Madelyn Thompson, and Jeremiah Thompson; brother, Gary Dale Thompson; and sister, Susie Biederman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Thompson.
