James P. Toner

James Patrick Toner, 82 of Ridley Park passed away July 24, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 4, 1937 in Philadelphia to the late James & Margaret (Kelly) Toner. James graduated from St. Thomas Moore HS class of 1957. He served in the army for 4 years and then worked at M.A.B. Paints for most of his adult life. He retired in 2002. He was an avid sports fan and had a lifelong love for Notre Dame Football. But that paled in comparison to his love of family especially his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his son Michael and his siblings Mary, Cass, Pete, John, Eileen, Rosie, and Danny. Survivors include his wife, Maryanne (Patterson) Toner; Children, Coleen Voutsinas (Tom) and Patrick Toner (Maria); Grandchildren, Harley, Shaina, Tommy and Emma; Great Grandchild, Marcus and Natalie; Siblings, Josie, Agnes and Peggy; numerous nieces, nephews. Family and friends are invited to his visitation Friday, July 31, 2020 from 10 to 11 AM at St. Madeline Catholic Church, Morton Ave., Ridley Park immediately followed by Funeral Mass at 11 AM. Social distancing measures will be observed, and facemasks will be required.
