Memorial services for James B. Tramte, 85, of Mentor, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at St. John Lutheran Church, 17403 Nottingham Road, in Cleveland. Pastor Walther Marcis will officiate. James passed away Friday, July 23, 2021, at Grand River Health & Rehab in Painesville. Born June 17, 1936, in Cleveland, he had lived in Cleveland, before moving to Lake County 33 years ago. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Cleveland, enjoyed the outdoors, loved fishing, hiking, biking, gardening, boating, and cross-country skiing. James was the beloved husband of 64 years to Lydia M. (nee Nowjack) Tramte; loving father of Christopher S. (Jennifer) Tramte and Kathleen E. (William) Dvorak; cherished grandfather of Christopher Tramte, Anthony Tramte, Lauren Dvorak, Jack Dvorak and Ryan Dvorak; brother-in-law of Sandra Tramte; and uncle of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, James J. (forever friend, Sherry Paris) Tramte; parents, John S. and Amelia (nee Fortuna) Tramte; and siblings, Amelia Joan (Raymond, dec.) Skocaj, Michael J. Tramte and Richard G. Tramte. Family will receive friends prior to the memorial service at the church. Private family burial will be held at Mentor Cemetery.
