James Gregory Turner (Greg) passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on February 7, 2026. He passed away at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi with his loved ones at his side.
He was born On October 1, 1963 in Jackson, Mississippi. He began his career as a bread distributor, and later became an insurance agent that was loved by his clients.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Hilda Ann Peoples, and his father, William Boyce Turner. He is survived by his wife, Mary Katherine Turner, his son Joshua Scott Turner, and his daughter, Kimberly Turner Kennedy (Allen). He has two precious granddaughters named Kaylin Olivia Kennedy, and Brenna Kate Kennedy. He is also survived by numerous brothers and sisters in law, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at Wilcox funeral home in Carthage, Mississippi on February 11, 2026 at 11:00 am. Visitation is from 9:30 until 10:45 on February 11, 2026. Interment will be in Contrell Cemetery in Scott County.
