James Vanek Obituary
James “Jimmy” Jerald Vanek, age 62, of D'Iberville, MS passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at his home. He was born in Chicago, IL and was a long-time resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He was employed at the Golden Nugget Casino as a Security Officer. Jimmy loved life, music trivia and especially his New Orleans Saints and the Atlanta Braves baseball team.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, William and Gloria Vanek. He is survived by his loving wife, Catherine Vanek; by his children, Scott Costanbader and Kameron Vanek; and by his grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his two brothers, John and William Vanek; and his sister, Christina Vanek.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to his Golden Nugget family and to the Biloxi Elks Lodge for their compassion during this difficult time.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at 1:00pm at the Biloxi Elks Lodge, 1178 Beach Blvd, Biloxi, MS 39530.
The family requests that anyone attending wear New Orleans Saints attire for the ceremony.
