James Vincent, Jr., age 72, entered peacefully into eternal rest at Ochsner Medical Center Main Campus on Thursday, August 8, 2024. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. James was a graduate of the University of New Orleans. He was employed for 46 years as an Electrical Engineer with the New Orleans Sewerage and Waterboard. Beloved husband of the late Jacquelyn B. Vincent. Devoted father of James Vincent III, Parris Darnell Vincent, Allan Frazier Vincent, Jael Marie Vincent, Michael Tyrone Williams, and the late Josiah Paul Vincent. Son of the late James Vincent, Sr. and Sarah Vincent. Brother of Rosemay Scieneaux, Yvonne Vincent, Dr. Bobby Vincent, and the late Shirley Williams, Sarah Lee Green, Joetta Carter, Mack Arthur Vincent, and Jonathan Vincent. Loving fiancé of Dr. Theada Thompson. Father-in-law of Robyn Vincent; also survived by 14 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Victory Church and all neighboring churches; employees of New Orleans Sewerage and Waterboard are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Victory Church, 5708 Airline Highway, Metairie, LA on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the church.
