James Wafer Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Kurrus Funeral Home - Belleville on Mar. 12, 2026.
James "Jimmy" Joseph Wafer, 42, of Belleville, IL, born Thursday, March 1, 1984, in Belleville, IL, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at his residence in Belleville, IL.

Jimmy passed away leaving behind a world that is less colorful without him in it. An avid artist, Jimmy had a remarkable gift for graffiti art. Using his tag name, "Almost", he turned blank spaces into vibrant expressions of creativity and imagination. His work reflected the unique way he saw the world around him. Jimmy loved creating unique artwork to give to his family and friends.

Jimmy had a playful heart, giving nature and gentle patience that made him loved by his nieces. Whether he was making them laugh, sharing his creativity, or simply spending time together, the moments he spent with children were when his true nature really shined.

Jimmy had a deep compassion and caring for those less fortunate than him. That included not only people he encountered but also animals who he felt could benefit from his kind touch.

Jimmy will be remembered for his creativity, his kind heart, and the joy he brought those around him. His art, his laughter, and the love he shared will live on in the memories of those who knew and loved him.
