Kyle F. Richardson

Kyle F. Richardson, 74, of Swansea, IL, passed away March 6, 2026 at EverVella of Swansea after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease.

Kyle spent 33 years as a social studies teacher in the Mascoutah School District. His love of history led him to reading many books about history, both fiction and non-fiction. He loved to travel, especially to historical sites. He also liked fishing, attending concerts and plays, and spending time with his granddogs. Kyle was a member of St. Matthew Church in Belleville, IL. He loved attending events there and performed in their Easter and Christmas dramas.

Nephew: Jeremy Richardson

He is survived by his:

Wife of 51 years: Cheryl, nee Huddlestun, Richardson
Daughters: Laura and Lisa Richardson, both of Belleville, IL
Brother: Ross Richardson (Sandra) of Effingham, IL
Nephew: Scott Richardson of Lafayette, IN

Memorials: Memorials may be made to St. Matthew Church in Belleville, IL or American Parkinson Disease Association.

Visitation: Visitation will be held Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Kurrus Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Services: Services will be held Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Kurrus Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Bob Swickard officiating. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
