Mr. James Wesley Watts age 86, of Yatesville, Georgia, died Wednesday October 22, 2025, at his residence.

Mr. Watts was born on November 23, 1938, in Thomaston, Georgia, to the late Gilbert Wesley Watts, and the late Ruby Mae Waddell. He is a retired Command Sargent Major in the U.S. Army. Mr. Watts was a member of The Gathering Church, Shriners Hospital, Masons and Kiwanis Club. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandchild Robin Gilbert.

Survivors include his wife Sara Janelle Watts of Yatesville, daughter, Renee (Preston) Gravitt of The Rock, sons, James Watts of Franklin, NC, Marc (Connie) Dent of Montgomery, Alabama, sister. Brenda (Jimmy) Watson of Thomaston, grandchildren, Ashley Yates, Cameron Cogburn, Christine Nauman, Logan Dent, great-grandchildren, Ethan Adams, Ava Webb, Candler Shaw, Esibella Yates, Ricky Cogburn, Adella Cogburn, and Madelyn Dent.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. from The Gathering Church. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
