James Matthew "Jim" Weeks Jr.

James "Jim" Matthew Weeks, Jr., age 88, of Camden, NC, died at his home on Thursday, March 26, 2026. Born in Elizabeth City, NC, on August 23, 1937, to the late James Matthew Weeks, Sr. and Eunice Pope Weeks, he was the husband of Rebecca "Becky" Taylor Weeks. Jim served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force and, after active-duty service, worked as a salesman.

In addition to his wife, Becky, of 29 years, he is survived by a daughter, Barbara Weeks Collins; a son, John Morgan Weeks (Patty); a sister, Marcela Weeks Austin; two brothers, Christopher Weeks and Steve Weeks (Kathy); eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Matthew Weeks, and a son-in-law, Jimmy Collins.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life later in the year.
