James Wells Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 15, 2024.
James "Jim" Wells
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James "Jim" Wells, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. Jim passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Jim is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Judy, who stood by his side throughout life's many adventures. Together, they built a loving family, including their son Brian and his wife Steph, as well as their daughter Cindy and her husband Erik Peterson; his siblings Mary Schantzen (Greg), Robert, Alan (Roxanne) and Kathy Holm. Jim was also the proud grandfather of Andrew, Samantha, and Landon, each of whom brought him endless joy and pride.
Jim's life was filled with simple pleasures and good times. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and found peace and camaraderie on the golf course. A frequent and familiar face at Costco, Jim had a knack for finding great deals and loved sharing his finds with family and friends. He never just bought 1 of anything.
His pride and joy was founding Cortec Enterprises in 1993. He will be fondly remembered by his employees and customers.
Jim's warmth, humor, and steadfast spirit will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Jim's life will be celebrated with a gathering of family and friends at a later date.
