James Thesdon Westberry Jr

James Thesdon Westberry Jr., age 50, of Deer Park, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on June 24, 2022, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer since December 2020.
He was born on November 22, 1971. A native of Baytown, James was a graduate of Robert E Lee High School in 1990 where he was involved in FFA and joined the Army as a junior. After leaving the Army to start his family, he began his career in the wastewater industry at Vopak Terminal, moving his way into management. After 27 years of dedication and hard work, he continued his career at Stolt-Neilson as the Wastewater Superintendent, where he served his team until his passing.
In James' spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his soul mate Stacie and great friends, live music, hunting in Medina, Texas, catching marlins in the deep sea of Cabo San Lucas, and admiring the relaxing sounds of the river in New Braunfels, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his father, James Thesdon Westberry Sr., and stepmom, Connie Westberry. James is survived by his wife Stacie Westberry, son Michael Westberry, stepdaughter Kelsey Lindsey and stepson Layton Lindsey. Also, his mother, Cynthia Westberry, his sister, Stacie Westberry, and Tracey Westberry.
James was a devoted and loving husband, friend, and father. His coworkers held him in high regard, and he was well-respected in his work community. Those who were blessed to call him friend had a deep respect and admiration for his integrity, commitment, and love for his country, family, and friends.
James always put others before himself, and his big heart could warm your soul with the right words or a simple hug. He was wise, a gentle soul, a caring leader, a supportive father, and a faithful friend. He was a beacon of light that would shine and inspire those around him, never hesitating to help those who needed and depended on him.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday July 2 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Deer Park Funeral Directors, 336 E. San Augustine, Deer Park. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time.
James left an imprint on the hearts of the many he touched. We all look forward to the day we can hear his voice, witness his smile again, and share a few more laughs together.
