James Lloyd Westfall

Jim was a veteran of the United States Army and employee of Midland Ross Grimes and Bruce Industries. He married his high school sweetheart, Phyllis and they shared over 70 years together until her death in April 2022. Phyllis and Jim raised three wonderful children, Brian, JeanAnn and Greg. Jim was "country strong", a hard worker who took pride in all that he did, but nothing meant more to him than his family. He loved spending time with his family on the beaches of Florida and Lake Tahoe, playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, always being their biggest cheerleader. Jim worked tirelessly in his yard to keep it in pristine condition year-round and found happiness in mowing, planting flowers and trimming bushes. His front porch was his sanctuary where he spent countless hours visiting with family, friends and neighbors. Jim was genuine and a friend to everyone he met. He was known and loved for his compassionate, caring heart. Jim also had a great sense of humor and enjoyed playing jokes on people just to bring smiles and laughter. Jim is survived by his three children, Brian (Dorothy), Jean Ann (David), Greg (Jean); seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Jim is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis, his parents, two brothers, Donald and Phillip and his sister, Mildred.
