With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of James William White Jr.,62, of Hydro, OK. A cherished soul whose life journey came to an end on January 30, 2025, at the OSU Medical Center in Tulsa, after a fierce battle with cancer.
A farewell service will be held at the Randy Kiesau Chapel, within the Kiesau Lee Funeral Home, at 2:00 PM, on Friday, February 14, 2025. Friends and family are invited to gather, honoring a life well-lived and the memories that will forever reside in their hearts.
Born on April 9, 1962, in Yuma, Arizona, James was the son of James William White Sr. and Willow Dean (Albert) White. He found his soulmate in Sheila Martin, marrying her on July 13, 1984, in Sherman, Texas. Together, they created a life rich with memories and a family that thrived on love and laughter.
James was a free spirit, living life on the open road as a cross-country truck driver. He enjoyed the freedom of travel while cherishing the simple joys that life had to offer. His passion was fishing, where he relished the art of “jug lining” on peaceful lakes and rivers. Adventure called to him, drawing him to the majestic landscapes of Colorado, where he marveled at nature’s wonders. Music was another of his loves—his heartbeat with the rhythm of concerts featuring John Anderson, Cross Canadian Ragweed, and the Beach Boys, echoing the joy of his vibrant life.
Proud father to James Robert White, Dana White, Kelly Finch, and Jamie Stevens, James also cherished his role as a beloved grandfather, surrounded by the innocent laughter of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His family was his world, and he embraced each moment spent with them.
James is survived by his loving wife, Sheila White, of the home; son, James Robert White; daughters, Dana White, Kelly Finch, and Jamie Stevens; brothers Johnny Zornes, Curtis Zornes, and Marshall Zornes; sisters Lawona Null, Tammy White, Nila Zornes, and Sonja Sewell; along with nine adoring grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who will carry his spirit in their hearts.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Willow White, along with three sisters and three brothers; and Timberly White and Bill White.
