JAMES WHITE Obituary

JAMES "JIM" ALLEN WHITE James "Jim" Allen White, age 80, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born March 20, 1943 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Glen and Beulah (McDowell) White. James was raised in Earlsboro and attended Earlsboro Public Schools graduating with the class of 1961 from Earlsboro High School. He attended Oklahoma State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural sciences and natural resources degree in animal science. He lived most of his life in Earlsboro until moving to Tecumseh, in 1991. Jim proudly served his country with the Oklahoma Army National Guard. He married Wenda "Kay" O'Neal on March 17, 1973 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. James retired after working 30 years at Production Credit in Tecumseh. After retirement he went to work for the National Livestock Credit Corporation. He served on the Pottawatomie County Soil Conservation board, Member of the Pottawatomie County Cattlemen's Association, The National Livestock Association. James volunteered for the Pottawatomie County Junior Livestock Show. He was a true Cattleman. James was a proud member of the First Baptist Church of Tecumseh for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Beulah White. Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Kay White of the home; daughters, Julia White and fiancé Mike Armendariz of Calimesa, CA; Daphne and husband Kevin Phelan of Dallas, TX; and Allison Daniel of Edmond, OK; granddaughter, Madison and husband Brantly Stockton of Oklahoma City, OK; sister, Barbara Brady of Sanger, TX; and other extended family and numerous friends. Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday January 23, 2024 at First Baptist Church of Tecumseh with Reverend Tony Peak officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery in Shawnee under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
