James retired from the United States Air Force where he served as an I.T. Specialist. Following his years after service, he went to work in the private sector doing what he loved working in IT. In his free time he loved being with his dogs, tinkering around the house, and working on his computer.
He was preceded in death by his:
Parents, Clarence and Mary Jane, nee Brendel, Wickett
Brother, John Wickett
Surviving are his:
Wife, Lucy, nee Duska, Wickett of Belleville, IL
Daughter, Amy (Chris) Carlino of Mount Vernon, IL
Grandchildren:
Anne Sims
Claire Sims
Lily Sims
Sisters, Joan and Jane
Visitation: Visitation for Lucy and Jim will be held from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Illinois.
Services: Memorial Service for Lucy and Jim will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Kurrus Funeral Home, with Father Clyde Grogan officiating.
