Fletcher Wilkerson, age 72, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024, in Rankin County, MS. His visitation will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM and Sunday, April 7, 2024, from 12:00 PM until 1:45 PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. His services will take place in our Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM. His burial will follow at Two Mile Baptist Cemetery in Morton, MS. Bro. Joe Crane, Bro. Robert Boyd and Bro. Shane Wilkinson will officiate under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services.
Fletcher was born on February 20, 1952, to O. B. Wilkerson and Geraldean Parker in Morton, MS. He was a lifelong resident of Morton, MS. Fletcher was a member of First Baptist Church of Morton, MS. He was a 1970, graduate of Morton High School, where he lettered in football. After graduation he joined the Army National Guard where he served eight years. Fletcher then worked at cable plant and at Desoto Furniture and then he became a USDA Inspector in 2009.
Fletcher was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Wilkerson; his parents, O. B. and Geraldean Wilkerson and his brother, Bill Wilkerson.
He is survived by his two daughters, Angela Ragen Marcangeli (Keith) of Morton, MS and Ashley Yarrington of Morton, MS; his four sisters, Linda Yates (W. L.) of Raleigh, MS, Deborah Beemon (Jim) of Forkville, MS, Sandra Crane (Bro. Joe) of Morton, MS and Teresa Ryals (Ken) of Pelahatchie, MS; his six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Michael Wilkerson, Jessy Yarrington, Keith Marcangeli, Joel Yarrington and James Marcangeli.
