James Morgan Wise Jr.

Mr. James Morgan Wise, Jr. 73, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at the HCA Florida Lake City Hospital following an extended illness. He is the son of the late James Morgan and Dorothy Kinnett Wise, Sr. he is preceded in death by one sister Linda Wise. Mr. James had made Lake City his home for the past twenty-seven years after moving from Orlando, FL. He enjoyed spending time with his family, bird watching, and fishing.
Mr. James is survived by his wife of thirty-four years Rebecca Wise, Lake City, FL; four sons James "Jimmy" Anthony Wise, Waycross, GA; James Andrew Daniel (Denise) South Houston, TX; James Bryant Wise, Sebring, FL; and Cameron Morgan Wise (Greta) Abingdon, VA; two daughters Jennifer Lea Wise, Sebastian, FL; and Victoria Lynne Pena (Miguel) Lake City, FL; one brother Larry Wise (Winnie) Tavares, FL; fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. James Morgan Wise, Jr. will be conducted on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at 3:00 P.M. at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Ambrose, GA. 977 New Hope Church Rd. Ambrose, GA. 31512. The time of visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home on Saturday, March 29 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
