You all have so much sadness right now, I hope this is not inappropriate to express a funny story.
So the FIRST time I flew with WOJO...
I quickly gathered he got amusement out of shocking me. Others (passengers), as well). Maybe out of boredom or pure self giggles. I wasnt as quick witted as he was but he put me on my toes. By the third day, I was expecting it and truly understood the HEART of Southwest and where our culture streamed from.
He was a CLASSIC!
I dont think specifics are necessary here because all that knew and flew with him know exactly what I am talking about.
Although, first day of first trip, he pulled a stunt in the aisle, while passing out peanuts. He would say something pertaining to So how is it, now that youre out on the work release program? OR So did the doctor take care of that problem itch, Is everything OK now? LOL
THE SHOCK that came over me but inside I was dying with laughter.
I mean his tone and delivery were SPOT ON, so serious and so caring at the same time. NEVER cracking a smile or breaking character. I envy that sense of humor because I cant pull it off!
So You can imagine several variations of THOSE kinds of questions throughout the trip. Your husband, father and friend was a true distinct special character and Can Never be replaced.
As I lose so many special friends in their younger years, what I have noticed they all have in common is how truly special they are, not only to family but their amazing gift (each their own), that catapulted their sheer uniqueness and delight of JOY they shared with the world, that I dont believe they had any more work to do on this earth. That we were all so blessed to be in their presence, even for a short while and now we get to see them in heaven, as they wait.
I am terribly sorry for your loss. He was a light for so many on this mundane earth and he will be missed beyond words!

Jim. Its hard to believe youre gone. You had such a large and confident personality. I appreciated having you as a sounding board when we were both going through tough times. Ill miss flying with you, but I know youve found peace.

Florian memory ... it always was amazing how the soccer fields was always about soccer an cheering on the girls no matter how you all felt! I loved the pride that came across his face when Wojo made an amazing play. A look of a fathers pride. An as little sister cheered even louder he would beam even more! Heidi you never skipped a beat to always make sure he had the best view possible. I will truly miss it but I know next season he will be smiling from the heavens lighting the way!

In loving memory of a wonderful person. Wojo was so fun to fly with and hang out with. This memory is silly, but stands out for me. In the hotel van several years ago, I was eating an apple and a mozzarella stick on the way to the airport. He asked me if thats was all I was eating. I told him no, I was trying to eat something every 3-4 hours. He then told me what I now tell people about eating. He said to me, Your metabolism is like a fire. You dont feed a fire one big log and leave it all day of it will go out. You feed the fire often so as to keep the flame consistent. Wojo, I think of you every time I eat an apple and cheese for a snack. Happy snacking in Heaven to you! ❤

Wojo was one of the first flight attendants I met when I was a new hire. We would commute together and I had the honor of flying with him from time to time. I feel like we kinda grew up together in a sense....marriages, kids, divorces, and remarriages.....life stuff. Im so sorry he had to go through his illness but Im so happy he was not alone. He had love, love, love.....we all will cherish the memories and we will go on.... just like he would want.
