James "Jimmy" Womack

James "Jimmy" Womack died in Missoula's Saint Patrick's Hospital on Friday, May 13, 2022. He had been in ill health for the past 14 months.
Jim was 77 years old. He was born to MG John and Vivian Womack (deceased) in Albuquerque, New Mexico on May 18, 1944. He married Kathleen Quane in Anaconda in 1967. They had one son, Jon Womack, who lives in Dillon. They later divorced and Kathy preceded him in death in March of 2022. Jim Womack worked in a variety of jobs; he joined the Montana National Guard in 1963 and retired in 1976. He worked for The Montana Highway Commission, Mountain Plains of Montana, and in 1987, he moved his family to Bozeman to reopen the Army Navy Store. Years later, he returned to Dillon and bought the Skyline Trailer Court which he was operating until his death.
Jim is survived by his son Jon and his wife Kim; grandson Zade and granddaughter Lacey both of Dillon; as well as his brother, Jack, and his wife, Kathy, of Georgia. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as his lifelong friends Pierce and Donna Rouse.
