Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the funeral services for James Conual “Rat” Wright, age 61, who passed away Friday, October 27, 2023, at the Hospice of South Georgia in Jesup. He was an employee with Lawter Innovation.
James is preceded in death by his father, Conual Wright, sisters, Queenie Wright, and Letisha Walton.
Surviving is his mother, Christine Wright, stepfather, John L. Sease, brother, James Ellis Wright, sisters, Shelia Walker, Gwen Ryals, Myrtice Johnson (Charles), and Princess Wright; three aunts, Lola Shaw of St. Petersburg, FL, and Johnnie Mae Reddish of Baxley, and Mrs. Bessie Conaway; one uncle, Elliot Reddish of Baxley; and a great uncle Gene Cray from Mardela Springs, MD special cousin and friend, Rex Bell; special companion, (My Gracie); nine nieces and seven nephews also survive.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. from the Nobles Funeral Chapel with Pastor Wayne Roberts, Pastor Elijah Jones, Pastor James Hayes, Heisman Johnson, and Sister Gwen Ryals officiating.
Interment will follow in the Rachael Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
The repast will be held at Rachael Baptist Church.
Active pallbearers will be Ellis James Wright, Jr., Heisman Johnson, Michael Davis, Ethan Johnson, Rex Bell, Henry Reddish, Kenny Wright, Steve Scott, Kindrick Scott, and Kendrick Scott.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the staff of Hospice of South Georgia, ACHS Class of 1981, and all in attendance.
