James Wright Obituary

At his home. He was born in Erie on January 29,1976, at St. Vincents Hospital, son of Arthurine Tenon.
He was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School, where he bowled, played basketball and was in a pool league. From 1987 to 1989 he lived in Detroit with his aunt Charlene Wright.
James was a fun loving and kindhearted person that believed in giving back when he could, with free haircuts at various events.
He had a heart of gold and a vision to do more within the community. Always willing to help others wherever they needed him. James was a member of Greater Calvary Full Gospel Baptist Church.
He loved family and friends and was a dedicated Detroit Lions fan. Most of all his love was barbering, for
All In One Barber shop, which was his last employment. James will be deeply missed by his mother, Artee Tenon, brothers; Michael Wright, Christopher Tenon, Robert Tenon and Anthony Tenon. His children; Khalil Clanton and Cierra L. Wright. Two grandchildren; Kobi Clanton and Kalina Clanton. Goddaughter; Aquasha Mathis and Godson; June Mathis Jr. (Deceased).
James was preceded in death by sister Kimberly Tenon, Aunt Charlene Wright, Sonny Crosby, his father figure Milton Otis, uncle Leon Evans and the Lloyd Family of Erie, PA. He also leaves to cherish his memories, best friends, June Mathis, Darren Atkinson and Roscoe Carroll. Vital in his life was Minister Daryl Craig Sr. Three bonus daughters Khadijah, Lavaneisia and Shiniqua. Aunts Carol Tenon of Erie, PA.
And Iris Kittle of Erie, PA., Uncles Vincent Stewart of Detroit, MI. And Keith Baker of Erie, PA. Nieces, Yvonne Wright, Tink Wright, Kaucious Wright, Myonna Wright and Mazirah Wright. Nephews, Natavion Tenon and Justice Wright.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Moravia Healthcare, Greater Calvary Full Gospel Baptist
Church and House of Paradise Funeral Home.
A public viewing will be held at Greater Calvary Full Gospel Baptist Church 2624 German Street Erie, PA 16504 on Thursday, November 30,2023 at 10:00 a.m. until the time of his celebration of life service at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Collin Gavin, Eulogizing. Interment will be private. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to House of Paradise Cremation & Funeral Services Inc.

How we put Erie on the map shooting pool at Keystone Job Corps Center. We had so much respect for each other. He was an amazing young man with a good heart. God bless and be with his friends and family.
