James D. Wright

September 12, 1957 – February 24, 2026

James Wright, born September 12, 1957, in Gainesville, Ga to J.W. (Dub) and Louise Wright, passed away at the age of 68. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved daughter, Jennifer Wright Baird.

James was a hardworking and dedicated truck driver who took great pride in his years on the road. He valued independence and lived life with determination and conviction. He was strong-willed, steadfast, and never afraid to stand his ground. Those qualities defined him and shaped the way he moved through life.

He loved the Lord and carried his faith quietly and personally. It was a steady presence in his life, guiding him in his own way.

James is survived by his sons, Daniel Wright (Ginger), Levi Wright, Wesley Wright; and his daughter, Amanda Reagan (Jamie), sister Renee Clark (Joel) several nephews and nieces.

He was a proud grandfather to the children of Daniel and Ginger Wright: Hunter Wright, Autumn Wright, and Arbour Wright; the children of Amanda and Jamie Reagan: Mackenzie Reagan, Madison Reagan, and Macie Reagan; the children of Jennifer Wright Baird: Devin Morrison, Dylan Morrison, and Jonah Baird.

He was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Evelyn Talley, daughter of Mackenzie Reagan; Grady Morrison, son of Dylan Morrison; and Eleanor Cochran, daughter of Madison Reagan.

Though he could be strong and steadfast in his ways, those closest to him knew the depth of his loyalty and love. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family.

A celebration of life will be held at a later time.

The staff of Central Cremation Services is honored to be selected to provide end-of-life services for the family of James Wright.
