Jamie (Tras) Dodd entered into eternal life on November 2, 2025 of Alzheimer’s disease. She grew up in Albuquerque, NM but was a long term resident of Aurora, CO. She worked for 47 years as a flight attendant for United Airlines out of DIA. Flying and traveling the world with her friends and fellow flight attendant was the highlight of her life.
She is survived by her daughters, Danielle Dodd of Aurora and Christine Dodd and grandchild, Julian, of Alabama. Also survived by her brother, Peter Tras lll, wife, Jan and nephew Nicholas Tras, sister-in-law, Peggy Tras and nephew, Christopher (CJ) Tras of Albuquerque and ex-husband, Steven Dodd, of Chicago Illinois.
She was predeceased by her parents, Peter Tras Jr and Christine Tras and brother Christopher (Kit) Tras of Albuquerque.
Jamie had a real love of animals and offered her home as a loving, temporary residence for dogs. She had a large circle of friends and loved to work and laugh with them. She will be missed by all who knew her especially her smiling, loving, and caring presence. Her joy for life and people was truly amazing. Every holiday even the small ones were a reason to celebrate or decorate. She shared her joy of birthdays with glitter bomb cards and lots of cakes and cookies. If you take a piece of her with you let it be a zest for life and anything sweet.
In remembrance of Jamie consider donating to the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Denver or to the animal association, Denver Dumb Friend’s League.
