Thirty-seven years ago, God sent an angel to us here on Earth, and on Friday, February 28th, God called His angel home. Jamie Fox, age 37, of Forest City, went home to be at the right hand of Jesus while being cared for at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.
Jamie was born Monday, February 1, 1988 in Rutherford County to Tony Ryan Fox, Jr. and Sharon Mathews Fox who reside in Rutherfordton. Jamie was loved by all who knew her, and she especially enjoyed being with her family. She was an avid shopper and loved cats and bunnies. Jamie also enjoyed reading and looking at magazines.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Betty Jean Mathews and Tony and Brenda Fox and an uncle, Billy Mathews.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother, Chris Fox (Maggie) of Rutherfordton; aunt, Karen Roberts (Larry) of Boiling Spring, SC; cousins, Terry Dills, Zach Green (Lexi), Brandon Fox (Brandy), Elizabeth Fox and Jared Fox (Kaylei); uncle, Frankie Fox (Regina) of Forest City; aunt, Regina Owens of Forest City and a host of extended family members.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 7th at Goodes Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Dale Welch and Reverend Brian Cole officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm prior to the service at the church. A committal service will follow in the church cemetery.
