Jamie Marie Garrett

Jamie Marie Inman Garrett, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025, in Greensboro, NC, at the age of 46. Born on April 28, 1979, in Greensboro, she lived a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Jamie attended Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC), where she graduated with an associate degree in dental assisting. She dedicated two years to her profession as a Dental Assistant while also finding her calling as a childcare provider. Her nurturing spirit and warm heart touched the lives of many children and their families.

A devoted member of the First Moravian Church, Jamie was known for her vibrant personality and her love for all things girly and feminine. She had an impeccable sense of style, which shone through in her passion for shopping and decorating. Her favorite color, pink, was a reflection of her bright and lively spirit.

Jamie was a loving mother to her daughter, Taylor Garrett, and a cherished friend to many. Her home was always filled with laughter, and her friends and family were drawn to her great sense of humor and charming sass. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel special and loved, and she was truly a friend to all.

Preceded in death by her father, Jeffrey Inman; brother, Robbie Inman; niece, Jordan Johnson; best friend, Shelley Harris; boyfriend, Mike Neilds; grandparents, Marian Vaughn Owen and Roy Judson Owen; and beloved dog Farley, Jamie is survived by her mother, Lynne Inman; daughter, Taylor Garrett; ex-husband, John Garrett; sisters, Jenny Inman French and Molly Brown; brothers, Matthew Judson Inman (Jessica) and Jeffrey Inman; goddaughters, Maddilyn Cordts and Morgan Cordts; stepmother, Judy Inman; niece, Brianna Johnson; nephews, Colton Inman and Blake Inman; and a plethora of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.

While no services are planned at this time, Jamie's memory will be forever cherished by all who knew her.
