Jamie Strauss was born in Atlanta, Georgia, but lived most of her 100 years in Houston.
Jamie was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Known for her quick wit and sense of humor, she was always ready with a clever saying and a smile that brightened the day of those around her. Jamie loved living in Houston and seeing the city grow and change. She was active in the local church and community and cherished by many friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Robin Rettew and Jamie Larsen; her grandchildren, Carrie Suffern, Robert Rettew, Eric Larsen, and Samuel Rettew; and her great-grandchild, Jonathan Suffern.
