Jamison Carol Jones, 22, was born on February 27, 2002. She is the daughter of Dwayne Jones, formerly of Emporia, now in Washington, NC, and Sheryl and Joel Mayle of Pleasant Hill. On December 31, 2024 Jamison and her unborn baby girl slipped into the arms of God.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Charles Askew and maternal grandmother, Joyce Carter; and paternal grandfather, Jerry Mayle.
She is survived by paternal grandparents, Nancy and Joey Turner, paternal grandmother, Jett Mayle, maternal grandmother, Ellen Askew; siblings, Dalton Mayle and Casey Nichols, Sieanna Mayle, and Kerington Mayle; nephews, Asher and Trent Mayle; and loving boyfriend, Riley Pope; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
Jamison loved to dance and spent years taking dance at Emporia Dance Studio. She loved children and looked forward to being a mother more than anything. She had an unbreakable bond with her nephew, Asher, her cousins Emma and Hudson Carter and Caroline Gil, as well as any baby she came in contact with. She loved the beach, music, and a great pair of shoes. She was a daddy's girl and looked forward to any time she could spend with her daddy. She was our wildflower and you always knew when she entered a room and you never wondered what was on her mind. She was strong willed with a tough exterior but a tender side she didn't show to everyone.
She was saved at a young age and we have peace in knowing we will one day see her beautiful face again.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Zion Baptist Church, 974 Zion Church, Emporia, VA with Rev. Jim Cox and Rev. Larry Grizzard officiating.
Memorial contributions can be made to Bethel Baptist Church, 1010 Bethel Church Rd, Pleasant Hill, NC, 27866 or The Family Violence and Sexual Assault Unit, 202 Hicksford Avenue, Emporia, VA 23847.
