Jan Banks

Mrs. Janet (Jan) Amanda Banks, age 70 of Lakeview Drive in Lavonia, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday December 19, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on July 7, 1953 in Bremen, GA to the late Charles and Dorothy Stalling. She has worked as a guidance officer at Hart County High School. She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Bowman. Mrs. Banks enjoyed swimming, boating, camping, sporting events and volunteering her time helping others.

She is survived by her husband Harry Banks; children, Robert Banks and his wife Debby of Hartwell and Kendra Banks of Lenior, NC; sister, Rebecca Lunsford; grandchildren, Kristen (Blake) Manley, Carter Banks, Macy Robinson and Shae Banks; her fur baby Lola Grace.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday,  December 23, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Coile and Hall Funeral Directors. Rev. Chris Pritchett and Rev. Eric Buffington will officiate. The family will receive friends for 1 hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations in her memory be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to a charity of ones choice.

The family will be at the home, 1602 Lakeview Road, Lavonia, Ga. and welcomes any visitors at any time.

The family has chosen the Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson St. in Hartwell to arrange and conduct all services.
