Jan K. Billy, 79, of Cherryville, passed away Monday, March 30, 2026, in his home. He was the husband of Margaret V. (Klement) Billy, whom he married on November 18,1967. Born in Allentown on January 12, 1947, he was the son of the late Rev. J. Albert and Mary (Jonas) Billy. Jan was a graduate of Northampton Area High School. He began his career working as a chef at several restaurants throughout the Lehigh Valley. He then found his passion for landscaping. He worked in landscaping and lawn care for over 30 years before retiring. Jan was a faithful member of Hope Community Church, Fogelsville, and took pride in landscaping the church grounds. He was a former Lehigh Valley wrestling champion and remained a lifelong wrestling fan. He was a member of the Northampton Wrestling Club and a former wrestling coach of the NAA. Jan also enjoyed racing and was a diehard Eagles fan.
In addition to his wife, Margaret, he will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Brad J. Billy of Walnutport, Chad K. Billy and wife Alicia M. of Woodstock, VA; grandchildren, Carlos J. Billy, Lucas H. Billy. He was predeceased by siblings, Paul G. Billy, J. Albert Billy, Jr., Milan Billy, Caroline Henion, and Maryann Snyder.
A funeral service will be held at 11am on Monday, April 6, 2026, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. 2nd Street, Slatington. Family and friends may pay their respects from 10 to 11am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hope Community Church, 7974 Claussville Rd, Fogelsville PA 18051
