Jan C. Kellett, a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at the age of 68. She was born in Norman, Oklahoma, to Darwin and Inez Cedarleaf.
Jan attended Del Valley High School in Walnut Creek, California. She then embarked on her career as a contract administrator working for NASA’s Stennis Space Center and the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. Jan enjoyed cooking, sewing, quilting, crocheting, gardening, and spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Kay Cedarleaf McKnight.
Jan is survived by her daughter, Kacie Cecile Chapman and husband, Dr. Casey Chapman; her son, Kyle Clinton Kellett and wife, Melissa Ann LaFleur; her grandchildren, Ruby Eve LaFleur-Kellett, Piper Sophia LaFleur-Kellett, Julia Claire Chapman, Grant Joseph Chapman, and Drew Edward Chapman; and her siblings and their spouses, Carol Louise Chapman and Thomas Richard Chapman, Calvin Paul Cedarleaf and Mary Patricia Cedarleaf, Russell Kurn Cedarleaf and Angel Eppinette Cedarleaf.
Family and Friends are invited to a visitation at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge on Sunday, November 24, 2024, beginning at 1:00 p.m. until Funeral Services begin at 2:00 p.m.
