Jan was an avid lover of animals, especially her dogs and cats, Kayce, Koco, Shadow and Casy. She enjoyed working in her garden and baking desserts for her family and friends. Most importantly, she loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them.
Survivors include her daughters, Billie Zess & Amanda Pollard; son, Robert Zess; grandchildren, DeShawn Strickland, Javaun Zess, Easton Redfern, and Ava Redfern; step-daughters, Sherri Tilson and Becky Barnette; nieces, Karen Fick, Donna Showalter, Denise Havens, Holly Foreman, Missy Oliver; and nephews, Jason Zess and Charles Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
Visitation will be held at the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, 216 Washington Street, Port Clinton, Ohio on Monday, October 23, 2023 from 4-7 pm.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Donor's choice, and online condolences may be shared with the family at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com.
