Ms. Jana Kay Woodall, age 75 of Gainesville, departed this life peacefully on Thursday, October 16th, 2025 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville. She was surrounded by her children and grandchildren in her final moments, a testament to the warmth and love she brought to all who knew her.
Jana K. Woodall was born on July 19th, 1950, in Anderson, Indiana. Her parents were the late John T. Leever and Juanita M. Hood.
Jana was a loving and devoted mother to 5 children and grandmother to 20 grandchildren whom she all loved very dearly. Her family was her greatest joy and testimony. She took immense pride in each one of their accomplishments.
Jana lived in the Hall County area for 20 yrs and had become well known in the community by so many people. She was a retired substitute school teacher and school cafeteria worker and worked for many school districts in her career and working with children was one of her greatest passions. Her contagious smile and sharing her Christian faith with everyone who wanted to know is what she will be most remembered for. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who have had the privilege of knowing her.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 26th, at Open Door Baptist Church, in Flowery Branch from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Family and friends are invited to attend for a celebration of her life.
Ms. Woodall is preceeded in death by her mother, Juanita M. Hood; father, John T. Leever; grandmother, Gladys M. Stineman.
She is survived by her daughters Wendy (Dean) Smith of Fischers, IN; Andrea (Henry) Martin of Braselton, GA; Laura (Joshua) Small of Flowery Branch, GA; sons, Wesley Woodall of Oakwood, GA; Chris (Kristin) Springer of Clayton, MO; grandchildren, Paris Miller, Ryan Miller, Joseph Martin, Natalie Martin, Andre Martin, Archard Martin, Oliver Martin, Charlotte Martin, Elowyn Martin, Hannah Martin, Paul Woodall, Adelia Woodall, Anya Small, Emalyn Small, Ezra Small, Sophie Small, Georgia Springer, Juliette Springer, Christopher Springer, Ella Springer
