Jane M. Baggetta

Jane M. Baggetta, 92, of Herkimer, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2025, in Little Falls Hospital, with her family by her side.

She was born in Frankfort, NY on November 11, 1932, the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Patti Romeo. She attended Frankfort Schools, graduating from Frankfort High School with the Class of 1950. She was married to Salvatore Baggetta, on July 18, 1953, in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort. Sal passed away on July 4, 2021. Jane was employed, as a clerk, for Remington Rand, Evening Telegram, a Teacher's Aide at Tuger School and retired as the Stenographer and Clerk for the Village of Herkimer Police Department for many years. Jane was a communicant of Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church.

Her love of music, Jane was a member of the Mellotones, a female quartet.

Jane is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Salvatore and Giovanna Baggetta, of Herkimer, James and Margret Baggetta, of Latham, NY, Gary and Lori Baggetta, of Herkimer, NY and Gregory and Diane Baggetta, of Concord, NC; her in-laws, Frances Baggetta, of Herkimer and Joseph and Katie Baggetta, of Herkimer and Florida; grandchildren, Matthew and his wife, Kristi Baggetta, Francesca and her husband, Brad Fromma, Gina Baggetta and her companion, Josh Brunet, Adam Aninos, Aaron Aninos, Ryan Dellerba and Randy Dellerba; great-grandchildren, Mia Baggetta and Aris Aninos; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by one sister, Carol Romeo; four brothers, Joseph Romeo, Louis Romeo, Salvatore Romeo and James and and his wife, Carol Romeo; her in-laws, Dominick and Victoria Baggetta, Anthony and Ruth Baggetta Frank Baggetta and Antoinette and Joseph Recchia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning, June 11, at 9 a.m. from Sts. Anthony & Joseph Church, S. Main St., Herkimer, with the Rev. Thomas Babiuch, officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, June 10 from 4-7 p.m. at the V.J. Iocovozzi Funeral Home, Inc., 203 Second Ave., Frankfort.

Jane's family would like to extend thier sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff of Little Falls Hospital for the wonderful care and compasion shown to her and the family during her stay and passing.

Memorial contributions, in Jane's memory, may be made to Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church, S. Main St. Herkimer, NY 13350. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
