Jane C. Bailes

Jane Craun Bailes, 85, of Big Sky Apartments, Staunton, widow of Robert H. Bailes, died on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Regency at Augusta Assisted Living and Memory Care in Fishersville.

Jane was born October 13, 1938, in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Ralph Lee Craun and Mary (Gum) Craun Armstrong.

Prior to retirement, she was employed by Augusta County Schools and the Factory Antique Mall.

In addition to her husband, Jane was preceded in death by her sisters, Joyce C. Sheets and Phyllis C. Brooks; her brother, Robert W. Craun, Sr.; her step-father, J.R. Armstrong; and her brother-in-law, Robert W. Sheets.

Survivors include her two sons, Jeffrey Alan Cline and his fiancée, Sue Carpenter, and Steven Scott Cline and his wife, Vanessa; her sister-in-law, Annabelle R. Craun; her brother-in-law, Joseph Brooks; her step-son, Eddie Bailes; her step-daughter, Susan Cole; her four grandchildren: Scott, Kelley, Eric, and Brad; five great-grandchildren: Aaron, Alyson, Kierra, Haley, and Briella; and one great-great-grandchild, Wrenley.

In accordance with Jane's wishes, all services will be private and held at a later date.
