Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wachholz and Sons Funeral Home & Sunset Cremation Center on Jan. 29, 2026.
Jane Balthazor, age 95, of Ripon, formerly of Green Lake, passed away peacefully at Prairie Place in Ripon on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, surrounded by love and cherished memories. She was a devoted mother to four children, a proud grandmother to six grandchildren and a joyful great grandmother to five great grandchildren, all of whom brought immense happiness to her life.
Jane began her career as a dental hygienist, a path that also led her to meet her future husband, Donald Balthazor. They were married on August 20, 1955 in Princeton and shared 43 years of married life before Don's passing on January 10, 1999.
Jane had a deep love for cross-stitching, dedicating months at a time to each piece. Jane generously gifted her creations to friends and family, who eagerly awaited them. One dear friend treasured Jane's work so much that she created an entire Christmas tree decorated with Jane's cross-stitch ornaments. Jane was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Princeton and was an active member of the Princeton Garden Club. She took great pride in her gardening, creating a beautiful and welcoming yard each summer. She also treasured time spent playing board games with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, moments filled with laughter and connection. She volunteered at St. John's Catholic School, where she was affectionately known as "Grandma Jane" by the children. During the winter months, she spent countless hours making aprons for St. John's annual picnic.
Jane will be remembered for her kindness, creativity, generosity, and unwavering love for her family and community. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the many beautiful memories she leaves behind.
Those Jane leaves behind to cherish her memory are her 3 children, Mike Balthazor of Antioch, IL, Pat Balthazor of Madison, WI, Mary (Kregg) Koons of Yorktown, IN; 6 grandchildren, Ryan Marganti, Shawn Marganti, Danielle Lush, Patrick Balthazor, Alexys Nanko, Kolton Nanko; 5 great grandchildren, Austin Lush, Avery Lush, Kendall Lush, Scarlette Marganti, Quinn Marganti; sister-in-law, Ellen Balthazor; brother-in-law, John Balthazor; son-in-law, Mike Leonetti; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Balthazor; daughter, Susan Leonetti; brother, Tommy Drill.
