Jane Lynn Behr, known affectionately as "Nanny", age 77, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Helen Rosenlieb; her siblings, Duane Rosenlieb and Glenda Miller (Frank Miller); and her special friend, Dan.

Jane was feisty, tough, and unapologetically stubborn, with a sharp mind and a deep well of kindness beneath her guarded exterior. She was whip smart, full of trivia knowledge, and never short on an interesting fact or a bit of good gossip. Though she valued her privacy, she was generous with her time, always eager to help, and deeply involved in the lives of those she cared about.
She loved baking and cooking, watching movies, tackling crossword puzzles, gardening, and expressing herself through creative projects and crafting. Known for her signature hats and colorful leggings, Jane brought personality and quiet confidence wherever she went. She had a special fondness for her granddogs and butterflies.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, February 2nd from 5-7 pm at the West Carrollton Senior Center 10 E. Central Ave. 45449.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of Jane’s life. Guests are encouraged to dress comfortably and in a way that feels true to her spirit.
