Jane Calendar

Mrs. Jane Carolyn (Jones) Calendar, of Tuckerman, Arkansas, departed this life on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at the age of 76. She was born in Swifton on December 24, 1948, the daughter of Shaw and Mae (Holiday) Jones.

Mrs. Calendar was a 1966 graduate of Swifton High School, where she was the Homecoming Queen. She was a dedicated employee to Riceland Foods and worked in the Sample House for over 40 years. She also worked as the Cafeteria Manager at Tuckerman Schools. Mrs. Calendar was of the Baptist belief.

Mrs. Calendar had a green thumb and loved tending to her garden and then canning her fresh vegetables. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren's activities and watching them play ball. She loved her pets and riding the dirt roads. She especially loved spending time with her family at deer camp.

Mrs. Calendar is preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Donnie Ray Calendar; a sister, Bonnie Gardner; and her parents.

She is survived by her children, Todd Bowen and fiancé, Tina Jones, of Jonesboro, and Rhonda Bowen, of Newport; her step children, Michael Calendar and wife, Amber, of Sulphur Rock, and Lesley Calendar Walker and husband, Jeremy, of Newport; a sister, whom she helped raise, Kathy Spencer, of Palm Harbor, Florida; three grandchildren, Amanda McGhee and Jordan Golden of Tuckerman, Kati Haigwood and husband Hayden, of Newport, Drake Bowen, of Jonesboro; and three step grandchildren, Zach Graham, of Tuckerman, and Abbi Limbaugh and husband, Hunter, of Newark, and Harleigh Calendar; two step great-grandchildren, Graham Limbaugh and Greyson Limbaugh.

A graveside memorial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Stranger's Home Cemetery, with Bro. David Benson and Mr. Todd Bowen officiating. Friends may visit at Jackson's Funeral Home on Tuesday, beginning at 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m.
