Jane Susan Campbell

Jane Susan Campbell passed away suddenly Thursday December 25th, 2025.

Jane Susan Campbell was born August 12th, 1953 to Willard and Lucille (Miller) Way in Ashton, SD. Born into a family of 10 siblings, she attended and graduated from Redfield High School. Shortly after high school she met and married Daniel Jaragoske and had four children.

In 1982, Jane married John Campbell. John had many children of his own, and together they raised 10! Jane loved spending time with her family. She loved eating sunflower seeds and fishing with John before his passing in 1996.

Over the years Jane spent time with her family in the Aberdeen area and was settled in Brookings at the time of her passing

She is survived by her four children, Daniel Jaragoske Jr., Tanya (Kirk) Zastoupil, Adam Jaragoske, and Richard (Sara) Jaragoske. She is also survived by her sister's Janet, Joann, and Judy and her brother Willard Way Jr; many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Jane was preceded in death by her husband John, three sisters, Janice, Jean and Jerry and two brothers, John and Joseph.

Jane's wishes were to be cremated and buried next to her late husband and parents in Mellette, SD. The family will by honoring Jane's life April 25th, 2026 at the Mellette Community Center after her burial at the cemetery at 11 am. Rude's Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
