Jane L. Fowler, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away from natural causes on February 9, 2026, in her longtime home in Hamilton, Ohio. She was born on September 26, 1927, in Hamilton, Ohio, and was 98 years old at the time of her passing. Jane dedicated a significant portion of her life to her career as a receptionist in the nursing home industry. A tenacious worker, she faithfully committed her days from sunup to sundown, demonstrating an admirable work ethic that she instilled in her family. Later in her life, she embraced her role as a loving matriarch, guiding her daughters and encouraging them to pursue their professional aspirations. With a firm but nurturing hand, Jane shaped the women they have become today. She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Fitzwater (the late Mike); Diane Eversole (Steven); and her cherished grandchildren, Michael Fitzwater (Tiffany), Corey Fitzwater (Mandi), and Blake Fowler, along with her adored great-grandchildren, Brayden, Maycie, Logan, Liam, and Mila Fitzwater. Jane also leaves behind her brother-in-law: Stan Erp, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Blake K. Fowler, son, Rocky R. Fowler, and her siblings: Doris (John) Conyers, Evelyn Erp, Laverne Schultz, and Johnny (Betty) Doty. Jane was known for her love of playing card games, particularly Crazy 8 pitch, and enjoyed outings to nice restaurants and the thrill of playing slot machines. Throughout her life, she was a steadfast figure, ruling with a stern finger, reminding all to listen and to strive for their best.In keeping with her wishes, a private graveside service will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family thanks all who have shared in Jane's life.
