Jane Patricia Freiler

Mrs. Jane Patricia Dempsey Freiler, age 93, lifelong Dushore resident, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, June 2, 2025, surrounded with love from her family.

Jane was born, February 13, 1932, a daughter of the late James P. and Florence Sharp Dempsey.

Surviving are her three children, John “JB” and Sue Mullen of Dushore, PA, Rose Ann and Bill Bailey of Sayre, PA, and Danny and Kim Mullen of Kill Devil Hills, NC, and her twin brother Gerald and Sylvia Dempsey of Dover, DE.

She is also survived by six grandsons and six great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Dennis J. “Ziffle” Mullen on January 20, 1991, and her husband Donald Joseph Freiler on August 15, 2001, and also by her siblings: Edward “Bud” Dempsey, James Dempsey, Isabel Fitzgerald Schlegal, Loretta Calaman, Kathryn Flynn, Doris Kunkle, and Mary Rose Finan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, in St. Basil’s Church, Dushore, PA, at 11:00 AM with Monsignor Robert Wargo, presiding. Interment will follow in the adjoining parish cemetery.

Friends and family may call on Saturday morning, June 7, 2025, from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM in the Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, PA.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Basil’s Church, PO Box 307, Dushore, PA 18614 in loving memory of Jane P. Freiler.
